A Little Helping Hand During This Difficult Time...

The world is in a panic and while the threats of the current pandemic of Covid-19 are very real, we want to make sure that all our customers are safe, happy and well prepared to face the next few months

The world is a different place to what it was 20 years ago when other, similar outbreaks made their way through the population. Technology has progressed and we are able to isolate ourselves from danger without leaving ourselves bored and hungry. If you have a smart phone, tablet, computer or smart TV there are plenty of things you can do to beat the isolation blues.

Netflix, NOW TV And Other Streaming Services

If you have access to streaming services, make sure you take full advantage of them! With amazing new tv shows and films being released daily in every genre, there is something to satisfy everyone.

Our current recommendations:

Next In Fashion – If you liked Project Runway or just have a passion for sewing, this tv show is a great way to pass the time. Contestants complete a series of design and dress making challenges with the winner getting to sell their own collection on luxury fashion site Net-A-Porte.

Mindhunter – If you are into crime dramas then you will love this one. Centred around the development of the FBI’s Behavioural Science unit, this drama has a lot of angst, suspense and tense moments but it is a very compelling watch and will have you desperate to watch more.

Dogs – A lovely show about the importance of service dogs and the positive effects they have on service users. Watch as these wonderful animals bring out the best in their human companions and simultaneously warm your soul.

Love Is Blind – For those who love some trashy tv, Love is Blind is sure to be your latest fix. Singles get to know each other without ever seeing each other and have to get engaged, go on holiday and get married in a short amount of time. This is a great bit of tv to watch to lift the spirits.

These are just a few examples from Netflix. You can access the Netflix app from your phone, tablet and computer. If you have a smart tv you can also access it there.

Subscriptions start at £8 a month and you may even be able to get a free trial to start you off. There are plenty of other streaming services that you can find online such as Brit box – a platform that allows you to watch all of your favourite soaps and British TV shows. Now TV is our recommendation for the latest movies as you can access ones that are currently available on Sky Premier.

Online Shopping And Keeping The Cupboards Full

With major shortages in supermarkets for essentials, it is becoming difficult to get our hands-on things like toilet rolls, non-perishable items and hand wash. If you are self-isolating or just do not want to go out and brave the madness, here are some handy tips for you.

Supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, Iceland and Morrisons do offer a delivery service for online shopping orders. Easily create an account and book your slot to get your shopping to your door within a couple of days. It is worth noting that most supermarkets have a £40 minimum spend for delivery. Supermarkets will still deliver if you are showing symptoms, just put this in the delivery notes and the driver will leave the bags outside your door for you.

Items like hand wash and toilet paper are currently in short supply in the big chain supermarkets. However, you can purchase these things on websites such as Amazon and Groupon with speedy delivery and sometimes with an added discount. Amazon also offers Next Day and, in some instances, Same Day delivery so if you are in desperate need for anything, they are the place to go.

How To Keep The Boredom At Bay

So, your cupboards are stocked, and your Netflix watch list is bursting with content for you to watch. However, you can’t sit there and watch TV for 12 hours a day so here are some things you can do to occupy yourself:

If you are not showing any symptoms and are feeling fit and healthy enough, Yoga is a great way to clear the mind and de-stress. Clear a space in your house where you feel comfortable and relaxed and pull up a tutorial online. Take it slow if you are a beginner and don’t push yourself too hard.

Do a little online shopping. If there was ever a time to treat yourself, it is now. Here at Klass, we are still working away to make sure your orders are dispatched and with you in a timely manner. We have new styles launching every day and we can send out a catalogue if requested to. Don’t forget, you can also call us from 9am-5pm Monday – Friday to place your orders if you feel uncomfortable doing it online!

Ring your friends! Isolation is, well, isolating and spending so much time alone can be detrimental to your mental health. Call your friends, skype relatives and keep in contact with those you love.

We are not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned, we just think that they are great options to help you along in this difficult time. Even if you do not feel ill, if you are vulnerable to the disease or have been advised to stay home, make sure you follow all official health guidance and wash your hands regularly.
