How To Pass The Time During A Pandemic

You may have seen our last blog, A Little Helping Hand In These Trying Times and think this is just the same. And it is, because we are still stuck inside (for the foreseeable future at this rate) and sometimes you just do not know what to do with yourself!

Exercise:

It is no secret that we love yoga at Klass. It is good for the mind, body and soul and is surprisingly easy to do at home. You do not need a fancy yoga matt, just a nice amount of space and some comfortable clothes – we have you covered for that part!

You can find lots of great videos for yoga for beginners online for free. Look for different poses or workout plans on YouTube, connect with other yoga enthusiasts on Facebook and browse our active section for your perfect yoga outfit. We know you will love our Patterned Gym Leggings! They come in all different colours and with a size range from 10-22, you can always find your perfect fit!

It Is not just gym gear that these nifty leggings are good for! Wear them to do the gardening, to walk the dog and even to do a little DIY workout routine at home. You can use your stairs to do step workouts and even use household items to do some weights. Whatever you decide to do, make sure to keep active!

Re-ignite old hobbies:

We all have a thing that we love to do to relax us and take our mind off our day to day lives. Whether that is reading a book, knitting, playing an instrument or gardening – we all have that one thing. As we now suddenly find ourselves with all this extra time on our hands, it is the perfect opportunity to re-ignite your old passions and maybe even learn a few new things.

Websites like Audible are fantastic for those of us who want to read new books but are unable to get down to the library or local bookstore to get one. You can listen to audio books and you get 1 free Audible original each month. Memberships start at £7.99 and give you access to thousands of books from different authors! The best part is, even if you cancel, you get to keep every book you have chosen!

Painting is another activity that is good for the soul! Order some paints and a canvas online and set yourself up in your back garden. The weather is milder and all sorts of wildlife are starting to emerge for spring. Be at one with nature and adapt your skills at the same time!

Musical instruments' can often be amazing for the first few months but once you know a few chords or notes, they can quickly become a decoration collecting dust. Now is the perfect time to wipe them down and pick back up where you left off. You can access hundreds of tutorials for free on YouTube ranging from beginners to experts! Get yourself online and learn the happiest song you can find so you can play it when all of this is over!

Cooking

If there was ever a time to learn how to become a brilliant chef, it is now. While ingredients may be in short supply, use what you have around the home to make new and exciting dishes. It can be easy to get stuck in a rut, eating quick and unhealthy meals because every day blends in to one. However, do not get stuck in this cycle. Add fresh fruits and vegetables to your online shopping order, try some new spices and look up recipes online. Use this time to change some of the bad habits you have picked up and fall in love with food!

Whatever you choose to do, whether it be taking our advice and doing something productive or hiding under your blanket on the couch until all of this blows over (we get it, it can be like that sometimes) just know that this will all be over one day. And when that day comes, we cannot wait to welcome you back into our stores with open arms and a great big smile! Stay safe!
